ABOUT
The school offers experienced, graduate school level teaching and community. It is a project started by Fox Hysen that grew out of her experience working in higher education.
For the past ten years, Hysen has taught graduate and undergraduate students at some of the top colleges and universities in the United States: Yale University, Rhode Island School of Design, The Art Institute of Chicago, Boston University, and has been full-time faculty for the past three years in the LeRoy E. Hoffberger Graduate School for Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art. She studied painting at New York University and Yale University. (bio)
In the right context, art can be a means of calling forth a more productive and nuanced relationship to ourselves and the worlds we inhabit. The school is committed to supporting the type of learning and exchanges that happen specifically within a group where difference is acknowledged and celebrated.
